Sheffield Quality Forge Ltd was launched by the Special Steel Group in June 2011 to service the general engineering, oil & gas and aerospace markets with open die and ring rolled products in carbon & alloy steels, duplex, super duplex, stainless and nickel alloys. It also offers a full hirework service to customers wishing to provide their own material for the manufacture of bespoke parts.

The company operates from its own 2 acre site with 5 open die hammers up to 50CWT, serviced with Clansman manipulation and a Banning ring mill. As part of the Special Steel Group, it has access to one of the most extensive ranges of heat treatment and testing facilities in the UK. This is complemented by over 30 conventional and C.N.C. machine tools capable of turning up to 1.1 metre in Diameter.
